Sera Lubowa was born in Kampala , Uganda . She is half Rwandese and half Ugandan. At age 6, she moved to Paris , France and then to Fort Worth , Texas to live with her Mother and Stepfather who is from Burundi . So as you can see, her family is mixed with many beautiful backgrounds, that’s why she has so much to offer. Sera was enrolled in dance classes at age 7 to help her cope with her new world since then she’s always been on stage, a leader and an honor student. Sera is 21 years old and is the reining Miss Uganda USA 2007-2008.
Sera is aiming for the Editorial side of modeling like fashion magazines, runway, and activism. Like Naomi and Iman, she wants to use her features and ethnicity to show a different side of beauty. Coming from Africa to a new world, ladies are told at a young age that education will get them everything they want, that is why her main focus is education. Sera’s goal is to have an empire of confident people working to help the world.
Right now, she is part of a foundation called KACI & I which stands for Keep A Child Informed & Inspired. It’s a group of kids ranging from age 5 to 22 who put on shows and spread the love of education and faith through music and dance. Sera also sponsors 2 children from Uganda by helping to provide them with shelter, food and education. Her dream is to be known for the things she has achieved and to be remembered for whom she helped along the way.
